Our very own, Celia Stratman, will be showing us how to make rope bowls. During this half day workshop, you can expect to FINISH a basic “medium sized” round rope bowl. Celia does not guarantee a particular size - there are many factors which determine the exact dimensions of your finished product, all of which you will learn about as you participate! You will learn how to start a rope bowl and build it as you sew, tips for shaping, how to “wrap” rope with fabric if desired, and some basic finishing and embellishing techniques.

Celia will provide the 3/16” cotton rope needed for this workshop for convenience and quality control reasons. If you decide you want to do more rope sewing, Celia will point you to some good resources for supplies and things to consider when purchasing rope.
